Hi, i read about the acquisition of Iguazio by McKinsey, and I am wondering if that would have some impact on Kedro's roadmap/future. Could someone of the Kedro team share some insights?

We're pretty excited about the acquisition! At a high-level, we will look to add an MLRun integration with the Iguazio team (they created this) and also look at making the Kedro-Viz flowchart a stand-alone application because there's need for these two things. What are some of your thoughts here?

I’d also add that Kedro is now a fully donated project to the Linux foundation, the steering committee is made up of a mix of QB and no-QB people and in order to graduate from ‘incubating’ status more organisations need to be represented and drive the roadmap

Thanks for the feedback! I will check the Iguazio ecosystem as I am not familiar with it. Will QB keep on using Kedro internally or will you switch to the Iguazio technologies? Or a combination of both?

I don’t think they’re substitutes for one another, so the answer is both but also because we use Kedro + Airflow (for example) in the same way

Yeah, there's no substitute for Kedro but there are alternatives for orchestration and MLRun is just one much like Airflow.
