Data Engineers (Junior / Mid / Senior) — Prospect, London prospect Who we are Prospect is a sports analytics agency and development house. Our work runs from the training pitch to the boardroom — helping performance clients win trophies and driving commercial decisions for rights holders, leagues, clubs, broadcasters and ticketing platforms. We work across sports, so the problems and the data shift constantly. We are looking for talented data engineers to join our data team of data scientists, data engineerings, MLOps engineers and DevOps engineers. The data • Performance — event-level and tracking data at real granularity. Ball-by-ball, possession-by-possession, player positions frame by frame. • Commercial — rich, detailed fan and ticketing data behind demand forecasting, dynamic pricing and marketing analytics for major international events. All engineers here end up working across both, in cross-fuctional teams comprising other analytical profiles as well as commercial analysts. Stack Python, Kedro, dbt, Snowflake, Spark / Databricks, Airflow, Docker. AWS-native throughout — S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda. Git-based CI/CD, Agile delivery on Jira and Confluence. We also use Claude, OpenAI and similar models as a normal part of how we build, and are putting LLM-backed capability into what we deliver. Levels Junior (2+ yrs) — support pipeline development, testing, validation and documentation of data assets. Foundational Python and SQL, keen to go deep on Kedro, dbt and Spark. Mid (4+ yrs) — own reliable production pipelines, cloud storage and warehousing, and data quality. Strong Python and SQL, hands-on Snowflake/dbt/Spark, solid CI/CD and testing habits. Senior (6+ yrs) — architect infrastructure and workflows, lead technical design and platform evolution, mentor the team. Distributed architecture and orchestration expertise, deep Snowflake / S3 / Athena / dbt, leadership on security, performance and governance. Beyond the tech Genuine interest in sport and the business of sport. A self-starter attitude — we're small enough that what you build matters. Comfortable explaining technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Practicalities Full time. Hybrid — 3 days a week in Victoria, London. Competitive salary.
