Hey folks, has anyone use the kedro-azureml plugin on a Apple M1 mac? Seem to be unable to install it locally due to a dependency on packages that are unsupported on M1 chips (azureml-sdk etc,).

Someone will reply to you shortly. In the meantime, this might help:

ARM support was added on 0.6.0. Did it stop working? https://github.com/getindata/kedro-azureml/releases/tag/0.6.0
t
I’ve tried installing 0.8.0 and that didn’t work

Hey folks, any update on this?

Hey, I remember there were issues that were linked to lack of support from Microsoft to publish sdk for this architecture. I don't remember whether it was this specific version or in general, perhaps for the specific version we were using. @em-pe works on Mac and he encountered that problem, so maybe they can share their experience

Thanks for the reply folks, @em-pe any chance you can advise on this?

HI folks, all I know is that is was supposedly fixed by https://github.com/getindata/kedro-azureml/blob/58a26ad87294376f9038bbb89521ec9c76b700e3/pyproject.toml#L44-L46 and was later changed here https://github.com/getindata/kedro-azureml/commit/36f2d4b42ced852c2b91139e3c5a3cce356985dd#diff-50c86b7ed8ac2cf95bd483[…]7b5a56f852c5c61b89d735fd711 I wasn’t able to find the working dependency combination at the moment. @Thabo Mphuthi if you have a time to play with dependencies and try to build the plugin on M1 it will be great. I might have some time to sit on this but no sooner than last weeks of December.
