I was just about to bring up how the maintenance of the requests project is a pain point for the whole ecosystem with some questionable governance…. love that you’re top of this thread in the thick of it @Juan Luis https://github.com/psf/requests/issues/5149

yeah I disconnected from requests around that time... I use

httpx

for all my projects, it's just nicer in every way and supports async. that thread is old though, Kenneth doesn't seem to be involved in requests anymore. this particular problem seems to stem from a security issue, I haven't followed closely enough to understand if it could have been managed in a different way (maybe a deprecation warning would have been nice?)
